The storm had passed, and the rain fell like water from the shower in a cheap motel. As we checked into the airport hotel, I was no closer to finding out what happened to my client’s father. But then, that wasn’t really my job. I was getting $20 a day (plus expenses) to keep an eye on these two bickering fools. It was good, easy money, almost too easy. All I knew for certain were two things; our best shot at answers lay in Savannah, Georgia, and everyone involved in this case was madder than a shipping crate full of frogs.
